Artistic interpretation of the things we see, discover and create, an association with the “all seeing knowledge” symbolised in a peacock feather which is a thing of mesmerising beauty. Many cultures and faiths over the centuries have associated the image on the tail feather with an eye of ‘all seeing knowledge’. It is also associated with joy and creativity. There are many interpretations and sometimes confusion with the ‘all seeing eye’ often found on glass Nazar amulets which historically are used to ward off the “evil eye” or an evil stare! This is perhaps how peacock feathers have been regarded as unlucky when instead they symbolise many positive things.
